How Do I Restart Fallout 76 Over Again Ps4
The big new Wastelanders expansion update for Fallout 76 is out for free on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 as of April 14th, 2020 with an aim to dramatically change and overhaul the entire game. Because the update is such a massive change to everything, making sure you're ready to set foot in the world of Appalachia again (or for the first time) is important.
Wastelanders is designed to be organically mixed into the game world rather than existing as a separate piece of content. This means that new players will, ideally, not even realize the content in Wastelanders didn't always exist from the very beginning.

Because of this, there are two ways to enjoy the new content introduced with Wastelanders: by starting a brand new character or by using an existing, potentially high-level, character. We'll go over both approaches, but if you already have an established character we recommend picking that path if possible.
Tips for Playing Wastelanders As A New Character
Starting Wastelanders as a new character makes sense initially because so much of the content is organically threaded throughout the world. Seeing it all from the perspective of someone freshly exiting the vault is likely the best and most authentic way of interacting with the characters.
When you first exit Vault 76 after the initial introduction and tutorial segment, you can speak to two women standing near the exit that will kick off the Wastelanders main quest line. The original main quest and all other content that existed before Wastelanders is still there, so you won't actually miss out on anything.
Think of it as a new main story that happens at the same time alongside everything else.
Eventually, you'll hit a point where you'll need to be level 20 before you can continue doing the Wastelanders questline. You won't miss out on anything, but the game will basically tell you to go level up and do other things until you reach level 20. After that point, you can come back and continue working on the Wastelanders questline .

Why You Should Play Wastelanders On An Existing Character
If you're brand new to Fallout 76 in general then playing as a new character is your only option and that's totally fine, but otherwise, we think you'll be better off playing as an existing higher-level character. There are a few main reasons for that:
- You won't have to pause doing the Wastelanders questline to catch up in levels. Your existing character is probably already over level 20 so you won't have to go do other stuff to grind and catch up.
- There are lots of dialogue options and choices with the human NPCs that require certain stats to be high enough (like Intelligence and Charisma) otherwise those dialogue choices can't be picked. So if you're not very high level, you'll inevitably miss out on some quest results and conversations.
- You've already unlocked fast travel points, collected resources, and have a foothold that will let you get through the content more quickly and efficiently.
How to Respec Your Existing Character's SPECIAL Stats
Unfortunately, if you have been avoiding Charisma, Intelligence, Strength, or any one of the other S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats that may suddenly become more useful now that Wastelanders is out, regardless of your build, you could be sort of out of luck. There isn't a traditional skill respec system in Fallout 76 that lets you refund and reassign those points.
Instead, you have to wait until you hit level 50 and then instead of picking a new perk card at each level up you can instead reallocate a point from one stat to another. And that's...it.
It's very gradual and incremental. There is no other method of altering your stats once you've made a selection.
Instead, the best thing you can realistically do, is just start to focus more on the stats that have specific conversation bonuses in Wastelanders. Often you'll be able to use a high charisma stat to persuade a non-player character to do or say something or perhaps use Intelligence to uncover an alternate solution to a quest.
Picking A New C.A.M.P. Location

Depending on where you've settled your C.A.M.P. you may end up needing to move locations. If someone from one of the new factions has claimed the area as their own where your camp used to be then you'll have an opportunity to relocate completely free of charge.
